Guiding Factors

This project explored how a single guiding principle - "just one more ingredient" - could revolutionize the home bartending experience through AI. The core insight was that suggesting one strategic purchase could exponentially increase a user's cocktail-making possibilities, creating value for both consumers and retailers. The AI analyzes a user's existing home bar inventory to identify which single addition - whether it's orange liqueur, sweet vermouth, or fresh mint - would unlock the maximum number of new cocktail recipes. This elegant solution transforms what could be an overwhelming shopping experience ("buy everything") into an approachable step-by-step journey of building a versatile home bar, all while creating natural purchase opportunities for liquor stores and grocers.

Generative AI integration

By integrating Large Language Models, we unlock an unprecedented level of cocktail personalization, allowing the AI to craft unique drinks based on specific events, memories, and themes provided by the user. For example, by sharing that you're hosting a beach wedding, the AI can weave together elements like your color palette and coastal setting to suggest a color-changing lavender coconut mojito that tells your story. This deep contextual understanding transforms standard recipes into meaningful signature drinks that capture the essence of any special occasion.

Mobile First

Our mobile-first design approach meets users where they naturally engage with cocktails, while strategic QR code placement on bottles and in bars creates seamless discovery moments. This integration connects commercial venues, retail spaces, and home bartending, turning every cocktail interaction into a potential engagement point through users' phones.

The results.

The process involved numerous iterations, ultimately resulting in a low-fidelity mockup that incorporated added functionality, laying the groundwork for a revenue model for the platform

The need.

Looking at my home bar, I realized I wasn’t a bartender—everything I had was bought with one specific drink in mind. That’s when I saw the potential to create something new, a tool that could transform these ingredients into unique cocktails for any occasion

The approach.

Beginning with rigorous research into other apps and competitors, I then developed a solution while deepening my understanding of LLMs. This led to the creation of wireframes and mockups to refine the app's design and functionality
